Subject: Recent iCOP Hull Mailer
From: Message Control
Headquarters robustly suggests the faithful loudly and righteously condemn the distribution of the anonymous iCOP Hull mailer sent to all Kensington residents. We need to stress that this kind of offensive “hit piece” has absolutely no place in our community.
Furthermore, the faithful are advised to steer their comments away from the question of who or what group financed and planned the anonymous mailer. Delving into the origins of the mailer can only lead to more problematic questions.
But since the issue of iCOP Hull’s prior problems has been raised there is no reason not to use this opportunity to bash the current KPPCSD Board. Their lack of oversight, transparency and their poor judgment is just so appalling!
The faithful should use the mailer incident as a jumping off point to introduce any number of diversionary topics. Resurrect the dead notion of consolidating the KPPCSD and KFD. Bring up questioning the role and duties of the GM. Perhaps suggest a discussion about domestic violence. And never pass up an opportunity to take a shot at the current Board majority.
The point is do not engage in the examination of the unholy alliance between the law firm of Rains Lucia and the Kensington Police Officers Association union. Headquarters does not wish to draw attention to how sensitive police files can be accessed, packaged up and anonymously mailed to all of Kensington.
Don’t dwell on speculating if the KPOA union has the financial resources to engage the expensive law firm and the creative skills of Mr. Justin Buffington. Thank heaven the funds are available, so no need to call attention to the revenue stream that makes all this possible. Can I get an amen?
Keep in mind it takes a lot of money to be and remain anonymous. Just ask the “Kensington Independent” folks!
